Young Entrepreneurs
I read an old post from 2008 on A Cup of Joe blog she interviewed "owners" on running a successful Lemonade Stand and had to share it.
The interviews with the kids are super cute and funny and I really love that Joanna did the interview very professionally.
Here is a snippet of the first stand interviewed, you can read the full article by clicking on nymag and below.
I never did this when I was a kid but I wish I had. Did you ever have a Lemonade Stand? Did you make a whopping 100 dollars wow?
Stand 1
REBECCA HORWITZ, 8, AND ARI HORWITZ, 5, SIBLINGS.
Location: On the sidewalk outside their Dumbo apartment.
Price per cup: $1.
Who’s your typical Customer? ARI: Most are in their thirties or forties. Usually more boys than girls.
Do people give you tips? REBECCA: People will sometimes give you $10 and say “Keep the change.”
Why? Because the lemonade is so good and the service is so good.
Maybe also because you’re cute? No.
Has the price of lemons this year affected your stand? REBECCA: Last year, we charged 25 cents for a half cup and 50 cents for a whole cup. But this year, we had to double our prices. My mom said she was shocked at the price of lemons.

I'm about half way through his book and its fabulous, completely unpredictable, full of incredible scenes and filled with interesting characters. Its the kind of book that makes you want to play hooky just so you can get back to it and find out whats about to happen.
More on Basics
I picked up this fabulous blouse along with a couple of T shirts one black on white last week from james perse . It is actually very flattering and drapes perfectly. Where do you go to get basics for your wardrobe I would love to know? Do you spend a lot or very little ?

A Girl Can Dream
Jenna Lyons the president and creative director of J Crew is selling her amazing Brooklyn home.
I'm sure you have all seen pictures featuring her home before but I thought these particular pictures are so perfect I had to share.
I love that you can see glimpses of the dining room and sitting room without a complete view.
The architectural details of the fireplaces and mouldings are exquisite .
The kitchen is clean and compact with some soft seating and a place for having a casual meal over looking the back yard.
I dont see a fridge but I suspect there may be a few drawer fridges hidden since who eats in when living in New York ?
Yes Please
Every girls dream closet, light and airy.
This washroom is so perfect I dont think I would ever want to leave, nope I could live in just this room.

I just fell in love with this striped jersey dress. The long sleeves are perfect since there is no need to add a cardigan. Its sporty and jersey is always very flattering for everyone.

Updating the Basics
I need to update my basics with 3 tanks, 3 T-shirts and a couple of long sleeve T-shirts in a combination of grey, black and of course white. They also carry some great sweaters that I find very tempting.
What are your go to basics?

Healthy News
I stopped in at whole foods mid december and asked a representative to suggest a supplement to help with brittle dry hair. My nails and skin were also dry but my hair was in terrible shape and breaking.
She suggested I take 2 teaspoons of 3 6 9 oil to improve my skin and hair texture. She said I should be able to see a difference after 10 days. Wow, I was so surprised to actually see a difference in my hair so quickly even my husband noticed it looked shiny and healthier . So I did a little research on Udo's 3 6 9 oil and found it is not just a great supplement for hair and skin but has loads of benefits for the whole body.

California clementines and a lemon square washed down with a cup of earl grey tea with vanilla syrup and a splash of milk. Delicious.
Street Food
Vancouver has spent the last year enjoying street food with all the new and wonderful food trucks that had been introduced just a year ago. They are wildly popular and for the first time a group of them will be coming together in one spot for Eat Out Vancouver. On Jan 24th to 26th they will be at the Vancouver Art Gallery from 11-3pm.
