Dinner Ideas

We went out for Sushi the other night and my favourite part was the little Asian or Japanese salad served before the sushi.
So I went home and tried to replicate it.
It turned out to be pretty good the key ingredient is ginger and rice wine vinegar.
The dressing is loaded with flavour and super refreshing.
Plus, you can get all the ingredients at your local super market, cant beat that.
I bought some ready made Gyoza as well and tossed them in a pan to heat them up and voila a great dinner on a week night schedule.
I hope you enjoy it.

Chalk Board Paint

What a great idea for those of us living in an apartment. We can alter only so much and all apartments seem to have the ugliest doors. With chalk board paint you could draw on a cheeky rendition of your dream door.

Pink Martini

My very special friend Michelle, who is a talented photographer  sent me this video to listen too and I love it. It is sexy and seducing and oh so very french the song is called Taya Tan I'm sure you will love it as much as we do.
Cant wait to hear the rest of their work.

Gorgeous Room

Oh, I do love this room for so many reasons.
My number one reason is all the different seating areas, what a great place to throw a party.
Is it all the rugs, or the high ceiling oh and every piece of furniture that make it so beautiful?
Have a great weekend, I hope it's filled with rooms like this and parties with friends.

Hair Envy

I love this ladies haircut and colour, it makes me want to cut my hair, just a little.
But every time i cut my hair I regret it. What do you think should I take the plunge and get a little trim?

Gift Box

This great idea was original posted on the kitchen  for a new Mom gift box but I think it would be great for any occasion, a friend who is run off her feet, someone who needs a night off from the kitchen or just a friday night get together. You could customize it for any meal, change the tacos for soup and add in some cheese and a loaf of french bread and then switch out the 6 pack of beer for a bottle of wine, really anything at all would work but don't forget the flowers its a perfect touch.
How would you make a foodie gift box for a friend in need?

High Tea

I love a good afternoon tea and we have a few spots here in Vancouver that do it  up right.
Urban Tea is located downtown Vancouver and has several options to choose from, my favourite would be the Champagne Signature Tea of course.

Classic Signature Tea Service includes an aperitif, a full range of tea sandwiches, petite sweets, their famous warm scone with signature crème & jam.
Accompanied with a choice of:
a glass of Tea-Infused Prosseco for $62 per person OR
a glass of Veuve Clicquot for $72 per person.
And you get a gift, 50g of a Sommelier's choice of TWG Tea.

Pin Up Girls

Before and After
I was surprised to see even these pin up girls have been altered to enhance their figures.
Is it so surprising that we photoshop models and stars on magazine covers today?

Style File

I love this Brigitte stretch-denim shirt dress from Tory Burch, the faded colours are perfect.
It looks soft and I love the long sleeves, even for summer I'm one of those people who always seem to be cold.

You can get it here at Net A Porter
