Miniature Effect

The view from my patio over English Bay.

I have been trying to get some good shots using the miniature effect.

Here I captured a man crossing the street below my apartment.

I plan on trying some more shots closer to the water with some sailboats and bridges in the frame.

Have you every done miniature effect do you have any advice on getting a good shot?
